When is a tool cool?

Tuesday, July 10th, 2007

Cheesy headline aside, this question is quite interesting.  When is a tool cool?  Of course posing the question, I have an answer.  A tool is cool when it is high quality, affordable, and useful.  With that in mind, I’d love to introduce everyone to some new product lines that you can now buy at Coolparts.

Lisle Corp – Almost every tool that they have is Made in the USA.  While I won’t outright say that Made in the USA products are better, its nice to buy a product that supports employment in the states.   Lisle Corp has been making tools for more then one hundred years, and this translates to quality.  We have a nice line of the brand new Lisle Specialty Tools.

Wilmar Corp – This is the company that makes the Performance Tools and Mechanic Products product lines.  These tools are also incredibly high quality, and dependable.  I won’t claim that Performance Tool and Mechanic Tool is the best tool you can buy, but you can put three of them in your toolbox instead of one of the well-known brand names.  Wilmar Corp does make tools that are dollar-for-dollar an awesome value.  And after looking at other websites, Coolparts offers the best (lowest) price for these products.

Do expect more tools to be added with time.  In fact, don’t be too surprised to see a brand new section of Coolparts dedicated to Tools to be open soon.  If there is a Lisle or Wilmar tool you need that you don’t see on our site, please let me know and we can help you get it.

The Tornado fuel saver

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

The Tornado’s unique airflow dynamics creates a swirling vortex of air causing a fast-burn effect in the combustion chamber. This creates finer particles (atomized fuel), allowing better flame propagation and more complete combustion, resulting in gas mileage increases averaging 1 to 2 MPG. These figures are confirmed by road testing performed at an emission lab licensed by the EPA

The swirling effect or Vortex effect, is exactly what GM had in mind when making there Vortec engines that swirling effect has proven to make horsepower and increase your fuel mileage.

Cool new Light

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

I’ve been working in the parts industry since 1981.  I can hardly wait to see all the new Cool items that are going to appear on the coolparts.com website.

One of the things I enjoy is new tools.  I don’t know about you, but new specialty tools using new technology really is fun to use and sell.  I don’t know why this took so long, but the rechargeable LED shop light found at coolparts.com is really handy.

Cool tools?  I think this is a neat idea.  It’s a cordless, rechargeable, superbright Led shop light with a magnetic base.  This shop light is super bright with 30 LED bulbs (last a long time).

It is can be charged by 110 current or plug into your cigarette lighter so it’s always charged and ready to go. Put one in your car or truck or minivan and you always have a bright light to use. Change a flat tire in the middle of the night, or just a trouble light to use in an emergency.  Just attach it to the hood or fender and it’ll stay for you.

Look for this item on the coolparts.com website. The part number is 899-1470.

Thanks,
